4th of July - What a Day!

Today was an eventful, fun day!

Happy Birthday Mario! He turned 2 today! He is not a fan of the fireworks, but he's very curious why we are and is ok once they are over.

Mario is ready for bed!
Dan came in town for the weekend which is always a big hit with the kids, young and old alike! The cookout at B and Chip's was a blast.

Dan is cleaning the floor with Matt!
All the Ladies - Lisa, Terri, Stephanie, Beth and Lori

Chris is having a blast - too bad we're never photographed together
I love the picture behind me!
Our annual fireworks show was a lot of fun. The kids really love our small display. Each year, I think it gets better. Here's their sparkler fun. Mark is singing and dancing with his!

Matt is loving the sparklers!
Here's the smile we don't see often enough!

One Month Living Not Waiting

Have not shopped for anything yet. But check out this pink kitchen my friend bought her little toddler. I love it! It's from Costco. I think I must look into this.

Hard to believe it's already been one month since we sent our Dossier to Thailand. Reminds me that it will happen faster than it seems. Having 2 boys to keep me hopping in the meantime, we do stay busy. We're always thinking about M and wondering what today would have been like if she were here. I've parented toddlers but M&M don't remember what it's like to have a toddler around so I look at it as very good preparation for them and a kind reminder to me.

We're very excited and love thinking and wondering what she'll be like. We've done a very good job not dwelling on waiting...so far... it's unfair to the boys to dwell on it and I would never wish 2 years away. Odd though, right now we have all this time to just enjoy life and then there will be this huge rush to get everything ready.

At the Beach - 14 Years and Going Strong

Last Monday I decided I would join my family on their Florida trip (Daytona Beach). We left Tuesday. Obviously, Chris couldn't get off work and I only work outside the home on Mondays so it worked with my schedule. In an effort to pack everything very quickly, I left the camera on the charger at home. UGH - Considered having Chris overnight it to me, knew he would think this was crazy and regretted later that I didn't make him do it anyway. My mom and sisinlaw have some pictures I'll add later (when I get them).

It was a fabulous trip. We love Florida and haven't quite figured out why we don't live there (or California) except that living in KY is the smart thing to do...financially. But that's another blog post.

The boys and I had a blast. We missed Chris. He would have very much enjoyed seeing them on their boogie boards as the waves weren't too big this time. Last year - they just knocked us down.

Chris and I also celebrated our 14th anniversary while we were gone. I sat at the beach while he played golf. It was almost perfect! LOL Our friends Kathi and Al celebrated their 20 year anniversary the same day. This pic is the 4 of us at the Orange Bowl.
